Anime that will make you cry

Today we will be talking about tear jerking anime. So if you are in the mood to cry, we got you covered. As always, if you feel we missed something, feel free to let us know!

1-Clannad after story: it’s a sequel to clannad so we recommend watching that one first😅. Not all stories get happy endings.

2- Anohana - trying to move on from a loss of a loved one.

3-Hotarubi no Mori e - It’s a film. It’s cute, it has romance, and it has yokai in it. You’ll know right off the bat how it will end, but that doesn’t make it any easier.

4- Orange - **TRIGGER WARNINGS—sensitive topics include depression, and suicide. ** I cannot recommend this one enough. You will be hoping things will turn out for the best. Please watch the anime or read the manga! It’s so good!

5- Banana Fish - ****Forewarning: the manga & anime has gang violence, rape, and death in it.THIS ONE IS MATURE. The characters are precious and you’ll want to protect them from all the bad things happening around them.

6- Angel Beats - it’s cute and hilarious, but don’t be deceived; you will cry. They always cry. Bwhaha.

7- 5 centimeters per Second: this one should be at number 5 cuz the anime has a 5 in it. That was poor planning on my part. ANYWAYS; Drama, and romance. It’s an animated film.

8- I want to Eat your Pancreas: Some girl has pancreatic cancer ( no that’s not a spoiler, it says so in the synopsis of the movie). Just by knowing that, there will be tears involved. This is a film.

9- Romeo x Juliet: This is a retelling of Romeo and Juliet. It’s cute and has its romance. If it’s on this list, what does that tell you😉

10- Your Lie in April - drama, romance and it involves music.

11- Rainbow - mature, historical and drama. It follows a group of teenagers who are at a reform school due to serious crimes and they form a special bond with one another.

man you know what I want? a superhero series where they have powers that 100% contradict their personalities. a fishermans daughter who lives by the sea, swims every day, learns that she can control fire. a boy who’s mortified of heights but realizes he can use antigravity and hates it. someone who was bitten by a dog as a child, suffers extreme fear around animals, can now communicate with them. they’re all disgusted by their powers.

uss-assbutt

yes good but what about the ~character development~ as they learn to cope with their powers and overcome their fears

the pyrokinetic swimmer wading out into the ocean armed with waterproof matches to practice so nothing goes wrong, building her confidence with the sea as her safety net, being so proud when she figures out how to heat the air just enough that she dries off instantly after swimming

the boy slowly overcoming his fear of heights, realizing that he can catch himself if he ever falls, standing swaying on top of playground sets and closing his eyes as he tries to safely hover down (and not fall on his face again)

the girl’s terror lessening as the previously terrifying cacophony of the dogs at the park turns into a chorus of “ball! ball! throw me the ball!” “it’s me! I’m the good boy!” and “squirrel!!!” and learning to communicate back, have them listen to her, learning how to calm down a dog who’s overexcited to the point of biting, discovering that the scary dog down the street is just home alone a lot and lonely, staring her fear in the face and learning its secrets

because being disgusted with their powers is interesting, but I want to see people learning to love even the scary and contradictory parts of themselves

Taurus: Mushishi - 46 Episodes (2 seasons)

“Mushi”: the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes aside from simply “being.” They are beyond the shackles of the words “good” and “evil.” Mushi can exist in countless forms and are capable of mimicking things from the natural world such as plants, diseases, and even phenomena like rainbows.

This is, however, just a vague definition of these entities that inhabit the vibrant world of Mushishi, as to even call them a form of life would be an oversimplification. Detailed information on Mushi is scarce because the majority of humans are unaware of their existence.

So what are Mushi and why do they exist? This is the question that a “Mushishi,” Ginko, ponders constantly. Mushishi are those who research Mushi in hopes of understanding their place in the world’s hierarchy of life.

Ginko chases rumors of occurrences that could be tied to Mushi, all for the sake of finding an answer.

It could, after all, lead to the meaning of life itself.
